Brian came today to do some cleaning, but could only stay two hours. That just isn't enough! But I'd still rather have him than many others.

I emailed a friend here in LA today to learn that he was standing in a long line to vote. He said a friend of his waited two hours at lunchtime today!

Parts of California have implemented a new program to make it easier to vote. In addition to voting by mail, you have a 10-day period prior to the election to allow for early voting. You also can vote at any polling place in your county. That makes sense. It may be more convenient to vote near work than home. There are also drop boxes where you can leave your ballot. Overall, much easier.

I vote by mail, but waffled right up until the last minute.

Only two hours.  I hope he can stay longer next time or return sooner.

Which is what I did, still 2 people dropped out of the race after I voted.

Yesterday Amazon sent an email that a package had been delivered.  Ummm, no we didn't get anything.  The next door neighbor did and sure enough it was our package.

Today Amazon delivered a package to us only it was for our friends 3 doors down.  I texted and said I was on my way over with their package.  They weren't home, however, there was a package for Keith at their front door  ::)

Jane, our educational system has let us down again!  Didn't these people learn to read numbers in elementary school?

;D

I think they are two different delivery people.  The one yesterday had his pants hanging below his but.  Thankfully he had underwear on.

Had a fun lunch, never got to the mail place, came home, watched the last two Twilight Zone episodes, and about to mosey on over to the theater to see the staged reading, which I am absolutely dreading.  Also, Doug sent me all the book stuff, and other than a couple of questions and two tiny fixes, I think I'll be able to send it in tomorrow.

There was an episode in the first revival where Robert Klein wakes up one morning and had to relearn how to speak the English language because words began to have different meanings. There was no rhyme or reason for this to happen to him. I thought to have it a real Twilight Zone story his character had to be a grammarian a-type where he was always correcting people on how they used words. Friends, family, and business associates. Then he wakes up and finds out that words have changed and he no longer understands what people are talking about. That for me is a Rod Serling type story.

Time for me to leave work and go to Costco.  I want to see if the shelves here are as barren and empty as the Seattle Costco that my friend David went to.

Be back later.

There was just a smattering of people at 8:00 or so when I went, and the only section of products that was empty was where the paper towels and toilet paper are.

However, that could be because they might've just been moving things around.
