I have started watching Wim Wender's Until the End of the World. It's 4.5 hours long and I'm about 1.5 hours into it. It's a fascinating mess of a film, with parts that are really good and stretches of nothingness.

One great bit of dialogue:

She: Of course, we saw the Rolling Stones' last concert.
He: But it wasn't their last concert, was it?

This was made in 1991 and thankfully we're still having that same conversation.

Had 2.5 hours of humiliation (aka dance class) this afternoon. My feet are still hurting.

And J.B. is home. Laundry is on, and I'm trying to figure out what's for dinner.

We purchased an 8 pack of double plus Bounty paper towels.  It was almost embarrassing ;)

I have a number of items on my Costco shopping list for next time.  I would prefer to buy them at Costco & save money.  We usually go to the one in Portland to skip the sales tax.

Jane, you can buy online from Costco, can't you?

I went to bed later than I should have last night and woke up earlier than I would have liked. Ugh. I think my body needs a few days to adjust to the time change, too. I never felt that way when I was younger.

I believe they charge for shipping, plus I don't avoid the sales tax.  I might as well support my local stores.

I have never paid postage for anything purchased online from Costco, but then, I haven't bought paper towels online from them. Or anyone else, for that matter.

Thanks.  I'll check it out.  The stores have plenty of TP & paper towels if we need them.

Up from a nap.

I expect you needed it.  Maybe you will now be caught up with the time change, including Daylight Saving.

Interesting, Costco only had one of the items I will need in the near future.  I will check out the website if we don't go to Costco before I run out of it.

Back from the paperback show, which had maybe a third of its usual attendance - several dealers and authors cancelled.  Those who were there seemed to be having a good time.  I had a good time.  Seated next to author Peter S. Beagle, he of The Last Unicorn.  Robert Yacko came and visited, as did Adryan Russ and her ever-lovin' Dale.  So, the time passed quickly.  I perused after but that was it.

Then I went to the theater.  I sat with Kay and her friend - right side of house row two.  Not sure I ever sat that far over - 99% of it played well from that angle.  A couple of moments actors had their faces away from that side but never for more than a minute, so it's all good.

Then Kay, her friend, Doug, and I had dinner at the Chinese jernt - food was excellent.

I doubt it. I don't think I'll get enough sleep tonight. I can just feel it.

Dinner was fine, but I made the mistake of using the seasoning packet that came with the lentils and it was bland. It would have been better with some onion, celery and carrot cooked in it. I did add some chicken stock and salt, both of which helped a great deal. And, at the last minute, some butter went in, instead of olive oil. That richness helped.
