I was slated to host the Robby Awards again this year, but obviously they aren't happening.  So, Rob posted the winners and for the second time Kritzerland won and both times we won there is no ceremony so we don't get anything but a certificate rather than a little bus.

Can't they send you the little bus or let you pick it up?  Sorry about the ceremony but CONGRATULATIONS on the win.

I stocked up as much as I could, which is really only 3-4 days' worth of food. I fear they will have to close completely. They offered the usual full salad bar, sandwich bar, soup bar (four soups), and juice bar, which also surprised me. 

I hope they will be able to reopen if they close.

Me, too. They've been in business thirty years, but this is really challenging.

I have a fb friend in LA who did receive his delivery though much of his order wasn't available.  He ordered chicken and got eggs instead.

    With some patience those eggs may become chickens. Don't refrigerate, though.

I like much of the improvisation that is taking place. In Florence, Italy, a professional opera singer sang from his balcony. A fitness instructor conducted a fitness class from the roof of a nearby building and nearby apartment dwellers followed from their living rooms and balconies.

Rustling up some Wacky Noodles - since I don't use full boxes, I'm combining some penne and bow tie pasta, which will make around six or seven ounces.

I will say that one really must parse out the Debussy listening because it's like eating five hot fudge sundaes in a row.  So, after the current piece is done, I'll take a Debussy break and listen to some stuff I grabbed on the Tube of You.

The one thing that bugs me is that these officials -- and celebrities -- who are telling everyone to stay in and not go to restaurants must have HUGE freezers and pantries. We still need to eat, and we must either purchase our food from supermarkets, which are often sold out, or restaurants. I suspect that said officials don't purchase food themselves. They have wives or partners or staff who do it. People now must go to two or three stores to obtain what they used to get in one trip.

I know!  I'm pretty sure I have enough, but I haven't seen toilet paper on any store shelves for over a week now!  WTF??

I'm pleased to say that I don't know what that feels like. I've never eaten more than one. But I do understand the temptation.

Tomorrow, I plan to go to work and pick up the cat food that I had delivered there.  I've been having packages sent to my work for YEARS now, and this scheduled order was set up long before the current coronavirus situation happened.  Fortunately, someone is at work to accept deliveries, so I'll go tomorrow when she's there.

I know!  I'm pretty sure I have enough, but I haven't seen toilet paper on any store shelves for over a week now!  WTF??

I'm glad someone else shares my frustration.

I read of a toilet paper manufacturer who complained that people aren't actually USING the TP they're been buying--it's sitting in a closet. To manufacture greater quantities he'd have to pay people overtime. Good for the workers, but costly for the business.

A couple stores in the UK set up special hours (usually the first half hour before opening) for seniors to shop while there are still items on the shelves and few people. I don't know of any stores in the US doing it. Has anyone heard of special arrangements like this?

The streets in my 'hood were really quiet today. It was like a holiday. We're learning to do more electronically. Some of these adjustments will stay in place when the COVID-19 is history.

And their names probably get them a fast delivery from place they frequent.  I was laughing at the Arnold Schwarzenegger video in his beautiful home.  Still it was cute with his mini horses.

I never thought about the difficulty associated with getting more product out & the cost associated with it.

A friend mentioned that some markets in Santa Clarita are opening an hour earlier for seniors
