The military jets have begun flying again.  Up until a couple of days ago we hadn't seen any for a long while.

Started watching Swimming Pool, which I saw when it first came out in 2003. Hard to believe that that's 17 years ago. Charlotte Rampling is wonderful. So different from The Night Porter.

I'm making a new recipe for potato salad this evening. It's from an Irish cookbook that I love. It mixes fresh mint in a sauce slathered over the potatoes.

I never cook potatoes, but this recipe looked too good to pass up. So, I picked some up at the grocery today.

My trip was uneventful, though there were a few people who did not have masks on, including a 2-year-old in a stroller. Mom was wearing a mask, though. Odd that you wouldn't want to protect your child.

I then went for a long walk. The heat has come back. It was a little sticky.

Hmmm Sounds good. I'm sort of particular about my potato salad, I've always loved my mom's.  It's plain but good.   The mint sounds intriguing, though

Has anyone every heard of a panache'? It's like a French version of a shandy, but worse.

I went to the grocery earlier today.  Funny, I went yesterday and what didn't I get...bread, milk and eggs. Good grief!  The store wasn't very crowded, but I'm still amazed at the lack of masks.  The employees were all wearing them now, and maybe half of the shoppers.

I used Montreal chicken seasoning on my roasted chicken yesterday and it was really good.   I use Montreal steak a lot, but haven't used the chicken much. Not sure why.

Wow, we've got a frost warning.  I need to get out and cover my peonies. I covered them last night.  They are about 3 feet tall and covered with buds

So, my whole family use apple, i stuff and, as Gabe says "Aunt Cill is an Android".  They've been doing a lot of Facetime, and I've always felt a bit out of the loop on that. I called my mom today and her caretaker said,"She can use my phone, why don't you facetime"   I had to admit I couldn't because I'm an android.   Anyway, I found an iPad on Best Buy on sale today so I broke down and got it.

Then after talking to my brother, we decided to get one for mom.  She won't know how to use it, but Krista can help her and it will allow her to face time with her grands and great grands and me.   And living in the boonies, there is more of a move toward tele-medicine.  So, we'll see how it goes, but I think this could be a good thing

Montreal steak seasoning is one of the greatest seasoning blends in the universe.

I find it odd that while reading about drive parades to honor hospital staff I never considered there would be any at Bryan's hospital.  There was one the other day when we were chatting.  It was listed on the employee hospital site.

I was just talking to our neighbor friend who's father passed away.  The challenges you don't think of during these times.  She can't find any place that can take donations.  He had clothes with the tags still on them.  She only has so much storage room.

DR GEORGE his other son is Bob Einstein a comedian and writer who also played Officer Judy and other characters on The Sonny & Cher Show.....and later The Cher Show.

If I am not mistaken, the father died at a Lambs Club roast of a heart attack during the festivities......

Thanks for the info, Jrand!

Well, my niece had a grocery delivery ready from Kroger.  She called Door Dash for a driver to bring it to her.

Said DD Driver texted later and said Kroger would not give him the groceries.

My niece soon discovered that the DD Driver stole her groceries.

The End.

Oh, no!  That's terrible! >:(
