I sadly have little good to say about mine: she was foolish, narcissistic, a poor housekeeper, and her personal baggage did real harm to my brother Randy. She had a chip on her shoulder that her family's poverty prevented her going to art school, anger that she had married the wrong man, and her life was full of unfulfilled dreams she was unable to cope with. I think one reason I care for Follies so much is that the character of Sally is so close to my mother. Sadly, I cannot say that I miss her very much. I miss her mother, a loving grandmother, much more.
