Yes DR JANE - falling down and NOT being injured is always funny....and I know how to land so I didn't even get a bruise that I can see.....

A video would have been a nice addition to FaceBook.

Interesting links DR ELMORE.  I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at in the second one, but I'll watch some more later.

Magdalena was an operetta produced by Edwin Lester that flopped on Broadway around 1948, starring John Rait, Irra Petina, and Dorothy Sarnoff.  The score was never recorded with the original cast, but in the late 1980s my friend Evans Haile conducted a concert that did get recorded.  Since then there have been a couple of productions, including the huge one at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris,

I had yummy pizza for food - the good jernt not too far from here via some service called Seamless.  Arrived hot and ready to eat and eat it I did - four slices.  There are four more - giving two to the fellow in the back house and then if I'm hungry later I can heat up the remaining two.

Have been approving tracks and am almost finished with the commentary.  Still no hardcover book sighting.

Commentary is finished and I'm sure I'll futz and finesse it tomorrow and perhaps record it over the weekend.

Started watching Jean Renoir's La Chienne (The Bitch), but it was just too ugly for my mood tonight. So, I put on a bootleg of the flop revival of On a Clear Day. From the beginning, when a dour Harry Connick takes the stage, it's easy to see why this production flopped. Instead of John Cullum's clear, resonant baritone, we get Connick's tenor and the songs all sound wrong. I never cared for Yves Montand in the movie version, but his singing there was better than this.

I had a really rough few days. Don't know if it was because if my sister's bday or because of Mother's day and not being able to be there or because my life just slowed down enough that all that grief caught up with me.   I'm doing better today.  This week I have work to do, but no deadlines...well I got one today, but I've just taken it easy and been relaxing most of the time.   I'm hoping my brain will work better tomorrow as I do have to write a reply brief

Vixmom, I really feel for you.  It was like that when I stayed with my mom after dad died.  Luckily I wasn't working too.

Our cases and deaths are still rising, but the state is opening up.  Even salons and gyms.  No theaters or casinos or bars, but it will happen.  I go back and forth about how I feel about it.   I would love a haircut, though
