DR Elmore, I will never forget my visits to Toyland. It was so great seeing the place, talking about scores, browsing through McGlinn's collection. The day Ben and Anthony joined and we moved all those boxes to your place was unforgettable. I think you and I moved even more out on a subsequent visit.

I am happy/sad whenever I think about the place, and I know it impacts DR Elmore a zillion times more.

Kitty cleanup is over, and I've left a message for Suad.  When she calls me back, I will report my work (!!!) hours for this week.

Yes, we did move out more later, and I do miss no longer having an office.  It gave me a reason to get out of bed and go to a place to accomplish work of some sort or another.  It's one of the reasons, besides spending time with my best friend, I love to go ro City Center to work with Joshie.

When I think of all the wonderful material left there to end up in a landfill, I regret not encouraging you, Peter Foley, and Rob Berman to take more of that McGlinn collection.

The worst part of those panic attacks was the thought I needed to borrow money from friends.  Now, I know at the most maybe three friends who could afford to lend me enough money, but without knowing when - or if - that Unemployment money would begin, I didn't want to put myself into further debt.  And what if my friends turned me down?

My cousin and her husband were going to come over for a visit tonight.  I said that would be nice.

Then she said her niece was coming.

Her niece sells some kind of AMWAY TYPE HEALTH SUPPLEMENT....that she endlessly badgers people to buy.  The last time she was here was shortly before my father passed away.

She wouldn't shut up about it and kept trying to get my mom to buy it.....finally they left.  My mom was upset for weeks about it.

When my cousin said her niece was coming - I suddenly decided I didn't want to see them.

It was awful and my Mom hated it......and never spoke to the niece again and barely spoke to my cousin.

Friday morning greetings!  According to a sticker book in my stash, today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie day, so I'm going to bake some this afternoon.  Richard is very pleased.

Just so you know:

Have you been feeling out on control lately? Now that Jupiter is retrograde, it’s time to dig in your heels and get a handle on some of your wilder behavior. Dealing with issues of personal growth and development isn’t always easy, but this transit is calling on you to go the extra mile for your own well-being.

These next four months, while Jupiter is retrograde in hardworking Capricorn, will be a test of your willpower and determination, but you should come through with flying colors. Jupiter wants to know that you’re ready for the good luck it can bestow, and that you can handle whatever karmic destiny it throws at you.

Today, ladies and germs, it is SUMMER.

But it's a one-day-only deal. It's going up to 80 this afternoon, with threat of thunderstorms later, and retreating back to the low 70s tomorrow. The overnight will be muggy.

After tomorrow, we're back to our not-quite-middling spring-ish but cool weather.

And George,  good work attending the meeting in your car.

"THE MEETING IN HIS CAR" sounds like a title of one of those "don't let this happen to you at work" videos.

So, just now, literally 10 minutes ago, I got a call from the NY State Dept. of Labor.  My PUA has been approved, and payments should begin next Monday or Tuesday.  It was a huge weight off my shoulders.

Thank goodness!

So, Vixmom, you want to change your name. Would a whole witness relocation program be of any help?

That was extremely rude of them.  I don't blame you for changing your mind.

In honor of chocolate chip cookie day I just ate a couple of chocolate chips, without the rest of the cookie.

She also told me, when she logged onto my unemployment page how much I'm getting and I nearly fell over. Much, much more than I ever expected, and I was expecting with luck about $100/week.

I'm up, I'm up - got up at eleven after nine hours of sleep because of the Internet being down - so was in bed at one-thirty.

I approved one track, but the other one is really frustrating because he's not hearing me about what it needs to be.  He's playing a piano part that has too many bass notes in the open with the right hand not doing anything at all.  I keep telling him the rhythm and feel has to be constant - he does another pass and it's basically the same with the exposed bass notes, so he's clearly not hearing me.  I've sent him other tracks, a lead sheet, and now even me playing it but he can't call and he's clearly got other stuff going on.  I wanted everything finished on Wednesday and it's now clear it's not even going to be finished today because he's STILL got four songs to do, two of which are not that easy.  Very frustrating so far.  And no responses, so...  He's supposed to be at the Zoom meetings so if I have to I'll do what I need to do there.  I'm starting to feel like I should find someone else to do a couple of these, but that gets messy and not everyone has a set-up with an electric keyboard to do that.
