I am appalled at the behavior of the girl who never answered the emails and then started making excuses.

There are so MANY folks like this out there....I deal with it all the time in local theatre.  Only I usually get rid of them pretty quickly and certainly make sure anyone else directing at our theatre knows the tale.

Two Zoom meetings are done and I need FOOD.  Maybe Jersey Mike's today - don't feel like pasta here.

We did a short walk down to the beach.  The river is still high so our walk was extra short.  We saw far too many empty liquor bottles.  I think they washed up with the water.

A day in the country was just what my soul needed. I didn’t see a lot of birds, but I heard them. I heard the river burbling along, a sound that always sets me at ease.

Lovely.  We enjoy the sound of the small waves on the river.

The website said you had to have your face covered in the park. But no one had their faced covered (present company excepted) and there were several families with small children not practicing social distancing.

JC Penney has filed for bankruptcy. Not a surprise but still sad.

Stopped at a bbq joint today before heading back to town. The prices have skyrocketed, and they posted that brisket is selling to them for $25 a pound. The meats were good, enough for tomorrow, but the crowning jewel was a serving of blackberry cobbler for dessert.

My hair salon shut down prior to the virus which I am guessing the owner is glad she did so.  My hair dresser moved to Penny's of all places.  Before everything shut down I would have gone to her to get my bangs trimmed if I hadn't already decided I wasn't comfortable shopping in the mall.  I wonder if our Penny's will ever open again.

I wonder if I will ever be able to return to my hairdresser.  I really like how she cuts my hair.

Still Waiting in the Wings is straight to DVD sequel to the straight to DVD Waiting in the Wings - both amateur crap from amateur people, purely designed to play the gay festival circuit.  Two years old, couldn't even GET a DVD deal until now.  It's easy now to do these things with digital and on the super low-budget SAG contracts.  I can't imagine the budget was over $100,000 if that.

Oh, thanks for the explanation.  I only saw one movie listed on IMDB and didn't notice a difference in the title.

We've had a very nice day, as quarantine days go.  We started watching Yentl while we were having lunch, then took a break for Richard to work on Sunday's sermon and for me to bake cookies, then finished the movie.  For my baking I used the 47-year-old hand mixer that my mother got with trading stamps for my first apartment and decided,  "Enough!"

So, I sat down and ordered a spiffy Kitchen Aid stand mixer from Bed, Bath, and Beyond.  It's something I've wanted for a long, long time and it should be here in a week.

This evening I've played at my craft desk and made a couple of cute cards.

Yes, DR John G, I have very mixed feelings about Yentl.

I have one reply brief to get filed and then only have a few odds and ends I need to do until after memorial day. I've worked pretty much nonstop from March 18 after my dad's funeral until early this week.  I wrote one brief this week, but it was nothing much. They are going to open up the Courts June 1 and things will get crazy again.
