Well, you've read the notes, the notes had brains and no brains, and now it is time for you to post until the brainy cows come home.

Hey, if anyone has Lost in Boston IV handy or Twiggy's album, I need the name of my assistant - a German gal.

Of course, I had no idea about Hartley's acting history...or her current day job.

I was thinking about going in to work today, but then I remembered that it's Memorial Day, so I couldn't work (even from home) even if I wanted.  I'll need to go in tomorrow to pay some invoices, then I can also see if there's any snail mail that I need to deal with.  I've been checking me work e-mails, so that's covered.

I had a restless night with lots of dreams.  The only one I now remember was about trying to start a regional theatre in Middletown, Ohio.  DR Ginny and several other friends were in it, along with a tacky musical revue with actors in cowboy hats.

I also remember a fragment of a dream about the house where I grew up at 3003 Goldman Ave.

This morning I need to review my doctor's notes about what meds to not take this week, including Aleve and aspirin, and pay some bills.  Tomorrow I need to call City Vet and authorize Judy to make any charges on the credit card on file if there are any cat emergencies.

I must get to Staples this morning and photocopy score paper.  I'd like to finish up this piece by next Sunday.

DR JohnG, what translation of The Decameron were you reading? I'm thinking about taking it to hospital.

Well, here we are, starting Memorial Day off cool and cloudy. And that is often the case. I think we've had only two or three really nice perfectly summery Memorial Days in the past couple of decades in these parts. They're often cool, sometimes rainy, and very occasionally hotter than blazes. I specifically remember 2011 as being the latter.

At least we're supposed to stay dry. Oddly, and a day late. we jump up to nearly 80 degrees on the Fahrenheit scale for a few days starting tomorrow.

TOD

I don't berate either actor. I enjoy them when I'm watching one of their movies, but they aren't two people for whom I can say oh yes I have favorite movies, or that I can't wait to run out to see their next one.

And I should watch Face/Off. I've seen it all of once, years ago, on a crappy TV, so I don't even have a good feel for it. I do remember being intrigued by it.

The thunder finally stopped at around 3 am. It just started again, 5 hours later. Ugh.

I saw Face/Off at a dollar theater. I dislike John Travolta and am hit-or-miss with Cage. Imagine my surprise when I enjoyed the heck out of the whole movie. I haven’t seen it since.

I’ll second Elmore’s list.

Tom, you are right. O’Hara isn’t my favorite. There’s something too studied and formal about her, but I think that’s just the right attitude for a memorial. And she did bring me to tears.
