When I was managing The Drama Book Shop I wanted the workers there with enough time before opening to stock shelves.  I thought of this because I am back from Staples, and the idiots do mot fill up the photocopiers in the morning.  As a result, the 11x17 paper ran out during my copying and there was only one clerk too busy taking care of others to bother with refilling the machine.  I left in disgust.

On the plus side, I avoided the rain in my Staples trek.  The humidity is awful.

Yes, Elmore. I really wasn’t out of bed before. It’s the Penguin Classics translation by H.H. McWilliam.

I have two blackberry tarts in the oven. One is for my dance instructor, Steve, who seems to have come down with covid-19.

I really liked the first couple of chapters of Major Pettigrew.

Memorial Day greetings!  This is usually one of the days we go to Mariemont to listen to our friend Rick play the carillon.  It's always a pretty socially distant affair, but we don't know if the concert season is even happening this year.

Never been there to listen to that myself, but since you first mentioned this, I always think of y'all when I'm driving through Mariemont.

I'm trying to avoid the AC for a while yet because of the cost, but the heat and humidity in the apartment are putting all of us to sleep.

I just realized, after giving the last one to Keith, is I should have saved a few more padded envelopes.  Of course I don't have anything ordered right now that might arrive in an envelope.
