For the first weekend we were allowed to have people over to eat in our backyards (socially distanced). It's crazy how happy this made me. It's the first time that I have eaten with my nieces in 2.5 months.

I'm glad that they made it legal as it was getting upsetting watching my neighbors have people over, while I only visited on my driveway.

DR Jane I am so sorry that you cannot hug and kiss your baby. I miss hugging my niece. But at least I can see her. Hopefully soon. It's too bad that you don't live closer or maybe you can drive there.

So your neighbors were breaking the law? I am glad you are able to spend more time with your nieces.

Thank you. Eventually we will drive there, likely drive vs fly. Once there we would have to stay in a hotel. They don't have a yard & we don't really want to be inside with them. Unless we can hold her and play with her there really isn't any point in going. I just pray things don't get worse once Chicago reopens. It is bad enough there right now.

Yesterday Keith discovered Highlights Magazine makes one for newborns to 2 years. It can be washed, is safe, and can be chewed on. And since it was on sale we ordered a year subscription for Freyja. It will be interesting what she does with it.

I saw four leeks at the market the other day that were too beautiful to pass up. Tonight I used half in a salad with toasted walnuts and some cheese I brought back from Greece. It’s better than I thought it would be.
