I must say that I'm kind of glad that the Kritzerland test will be pushed back a day, because an online reading of Whose Afraid of Virginia Woolf, organized by my friend Gary, is also happening tonight, so now I won't have to worry about them overlapping.

Well, I must be off.  Today, I go back to work.  I don't think I'll work full days at first.  We'll see.  Next Monday is when we're all (most? some?) supposed to go back into the building.

Have a good day, all!

To be sure that I always have one, I usually buy an EXTRAPOLATE to keep in the pantry.

I shall have to think about the TOD.....but I certainly enjoy the ones mentioned in the notes, especially:

Psycho
Eyes Without a Face (which I purchased after reading about it right here on HHW a decade or more ago)
Peeping Tom

The suggestion has been made that we have our Executive Committee Meeting in person tomorrow.

I am okay with that.....but I have to be home by curfew.

TOD

Definitely the ones BK mentioned, and I was happy to see Black Sunday included because I’ve never forgotten seeing the trailer for the first time at a tender age, and how it alone blew me away. Bava hit a whole lot of right notes in this one.

I’m going to browse the shelves later, in the hope of naming a few cherce titles I might not think of from my present vantage point, a.k.a. the recliner.

Sending vibes of comfort and recovery for DR Elmore.

I say comfort deliberately, since there’s bound to be a certain amount of discomfort following any such surgery and I hope he gets to the other side of it sooner rather than later.

Last night, I approved the final audio edition of my play, JASON ROBARDS AT THE OLD PLACE.

Tony Bingham is a magnificent actor, and he brings Robards, a two-time Oscar-winner, to life in the one hour radio-like production, which features music and sound effects.

ACX is currently taking a month or longer to make these audio productions available to the public, but watch for it.  It's one of the very best of THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS audios thus far.

In the meantime, if you'd like to read the play before you listen to it, just click on this link.

T.O.D.

I've never been much of a horror fan, particularly in my adult years.

However, I've always had a special affection for SON OF FRANKENSTEIN...even before I wrote my book on Basil Rathbone.

No idea why.

I also liked HORROR OF DRACULA, even before Christopher Lee became my publicity client.

The more you know:

Tomorrow’s harmonious conjunction between the sun and romantic Venus in free-thinking Gemini puts a focus on your personal life, infusing it with creativity and an influx of fabulous ideas. This pleasant and affectionate influence highlights your closest relationships and encourages you to think up new ways to expand the scope of those connections while enjoying your growing popularity.

Having a good time is first and foremost on your mind, but if you’re still being asked to abstain from parties and other social functions, you’re an expert at finding imaginative ways to enjoy yourself. The desire to overindulge while experiencing this aspect’s pleasure-seeking energy is strong, so try not to overdo it.

TOD: I don't watch horror movies. I am still traumatized by seeing The Creature From the Black Lagoon as a kid.

I don't like horror movies.  I still remember Keith forcing me to watch The Blob on tv clinging to him the entire time.  Since we were 18 he didn't mind the clinging ;D

To my surprise I liked it.

The first time I saw The Birds was at a drive in with my mother.  I suspect my father would not have appreciated her taking me to it knowing I was prone to nightmares.

She gave me a tranquilizer part way in the movie, most likely to shut me up-lol.

King Kong-original
The Birds
Tremors
