DR TCB I attempted to find out if the locals arrested in Seattle were looters, whom I expect to be local, peaceful protesters, or agitators.  I couldn't find anything.

I did see where some of police officers pulled physically aggressive officers off of the suspect.  That was good though I wish there hadn't been aggression in the first place.

Tuesday afternoon greetings!  Just had a nice phone chat with my sister, checked my email, and found this message from Josh:

"I have spoken to Larry twice on the phone today. He is still in some pain from the surgery, but he has been up and about walking around a bit. He is understandably tired but mostly in good spirits. He expects to be released either tomorrow or Thursday.

I have sent along well-wishes and updated him about the cats!"

TOD: I don't watch horror movies. I am still traumatized by seeing The Creature From the Black Lagoon as a kid.
I don't like horror movies.  I still remember Keith forcing me to watch The Blob on tv clinging to him the entire time.  Since we were 18 he didn't mind the clinging ;D

To my surprise I liked it.

I don't care for horror movies.  I was traumatized by seeing Beware! The Blob when I was a kid.

Thank you Ginny.  I didn't realize Josh was also getting updates on the cats.  This made me happy.

Shaun of the Dead
Zombieland

I like both of those!  I did go see Get Out a couple of years ago, and really liked that...it wasn't a comedy, though.

That was creepy.  Definitely not a comedy.

I am pleased to say protests in Vancouver have remained peaceful.  Probably because the agitators are across the bridge in Portland.

I'm up, I'm up - seven and a half hours of sleep.  Was up at eleven, immediately enmeshed in Kritzerland show stuff, then had to pick up yesterday's package.  On the way home I did what I'd been meaning to do for the past two weeks - got Casa Vega to go.  I picked it up, came home, and it was great.

Then I made the mistake of going to Facebook where I actually read a post that said in addition to this ridiculous "blackout day" malarkey, it's also been "designated" that today is a day without music.  Not for me.  Ever.  Music is a healing art and anyone who designates a day without it is an idiot and, I guarantee you, white.

And the person posting it was doing it and is a musical director I've worked with on many occasions.  I had to rewrite my response six times because the first five were not so nice.

Helper was supposed to be here fifteen minutes ago - originally I asked for it to be earlier and I want these shipped today, but that is looking less likely the later she is.

Books have been picked up.  I'm not sure they'll get shipped today but tomorrow for sure - I stressed that they really needed to go out today.

Well, I tried ... and failed. I looked over my shelves and decided that adding just a few titles won’t work. Too many contenders. And no one wants to see my list of, say, 50 favorites.

The one good thing that came out of it was that I pulled several movies I’d been thinking about revisiting but hadn’t moved on it. The watch pile is looking quite healthy now.

TOD 2:

I remembered a few more.

The Innocents
The Uninvited
Freaks
Silence of the Lambs
The Shining
Evil Dead 2

Not receiving a reminder yet I called about my eye check tomorrow morning.  Good thing I did as my appointment wasn't down.  It is now.

The day without music thing was clarified for me, but you would never have guessed it from the initial post and the responses - and it was couched within "I guess you missed the memo."  Well, yeah, guess I did.  The memo (I'm sure he means some Facebook stupidity) was that no one release any new music today, i.e. recordings, etc.  I find this stuff so beyond stupid and completely beyond my comprehension.  Stand in solidarity, absolutely.  The rest is someone doing the equivalent of a Facebook meme.
