Well, you've read the notes, the notes were big and had heat, and now it is time for you to post until the heated cows come home.

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

I slept well, although it was a very restless night.  I had weird dreams, one featuring Lotte Lenya and The Threepenny Opera.  In another dream I was housesitting for Jo Sullivan Loesser and helping my friende Ben Davis learn a role.

DR Ginny, is your granddaughter's name being pronounced "Burneese" or the Italian "Ber-e-ni-chay?"

Last night we watched The Secret Adversary, Agatha Christie's first Tommy and Tuppence mystery, set some time around 1919-1920, involving Bolshevicks, the sinking of the Lusitania, a missing treaty, and lots of red herrings.  I enjoyed it very much.

Last night, we watched a thriller with Ann Sheridan, WOMAN ON THE RUN.

Not bad, but it should have been called, MAN OF THE RUN, because Ann's husband (Ross Elliott)was the one on the run.

Don't like what's happening in my home town, Seattle.

At some point, the military is going to be called in and people will be killed.

Looks like we’ve got ourselves a dark and rainy day here, with a high of 78. Tomorrow, clear and in the low 80s.

The overnight temp only got down to 70 and it was very muggy. AC was employed. Tonight will be cooler, if not necessarily less muggy.

And that’s the weather report.

Today, indoor housework of a few various and sundry kinds, to be accompanied by music. But what will the music be? That is the question.

Yup another character from SHAKESPEARE that I would like to play someday:  BENEVOLENT.

I think he is in Two Gentlemen From Pomona.

I often express what turn out to be unpopular opinions about movies, plays, and performers right here on HHW.  I can tell when they are unpopular, because I get not ONE comment on said opinions....which is okay.

I just imagine DR ELMORE and MR BK and DR VIXMOM and DR CHAS SMITH and DR JOHN G [among others] shaking their heads and saying:
"Bless his heart....."

My sister Paula and her daughter Amanda are traveling to Maryland this weekend to see daughter Emily whose husband Ryan is having a procedure next week.

I bought them a bag of things that might be needed.  I went back to WalMart this morning to pick her up a bottle of the hand sanitizer that I bought yesterday - from an end cap of about 300 bottles or more......and there were none left.

They did have a more expensive larger bottle that is a sanitizer and moisturizer, so I bought that.

Along with a couple packages of masks and gloves and some little packages of Chex Mix.....and of course some CD's of music to play in the car.....

I am not a fan of Judy Garland and remain puzzled by the cult longevity.
I think Katharine Hepburn is a vastly overrated actress.

I’m not a fan of the original three Star Wars movies, so I have skipped the rest. Ditto Indiana Jones.
I’m no longer a fan of comic book movies. I read Marvel hand-me-downs as a kid and loved them. But what a self-righteous bore those movies are.
I’m not a fan of comedies in which the premise is the humiliation of someone in order to get laughs. So, nothing in the Fokkers vein.

I’m sure I’ll come up with more.

Thursday morning greetings!  No plans for today, but I hope to get outside to enjoy the low humidity - a great relief.

DR Elmore, my mother was "Burneese," but could have been "Bear-uh-neese."  This is the first time I've ever heard the Italian version.  I'm assuming they're going to use Mom's pronunciation, but they'll have to spell it, as Mom did all her life.

My nurse is coming between 1:00 and 3:00, and I've spent the past two hours lying down.  Thatch has decided today that he likes to lie curled in the space between my left side and armpit.  It was quite pleasant.

The visiting nurse just left.  Thatch and Stella are checking out the new scents and playing Holmes and Whatsit.
