Hell, I'm still driving on my snow tires!

Since I would ordinarily have had them removed in March right when everything stopped, these additional miles on them count for practically nothing. I'll probably go in to have them changed when it's time to fill the tank. That seems appropriate. :)

Can't you get a ticket for driving on those after the season has ended?  I hope the rules have been relaxed.

I never heard of such a thing. Besides, who could tell they're snow tires without getting down and looking at the tread?

Are you thinking about studded tires? Those aren't even allowed here, to my knowledge.

What impressed me most about the movie was its exuberance. Lee displays the same thrill of moviemaking here that he did in his earlier pictures. He was having a blast, whether it was his Treasure of Sierra Madre nods or his tributes to Apocalypse Now. One thing I'd never seen before was the way he filmed the flashbacks. Instead of getting the actors to look younger, he filmed them simply the age that they were, so you knew they were looking back. Everyone else looked young.

And a beautiful Terence Blanchard score.

I just received a nice surprise.  A friend sent me a photo from the early 1990s with me, Roberta Peters, and some NYC Gay Men's Chorus drag queen - Miss Coco, maybe? - after a rehearsal for a holiday concert featuring Miss Peters, who was not just a great artist, but a really beautiful lady.

What a great picture!

I wish I had one of her at all, let alone one with me in it. It was a couple of decades earlier that she sang with us, and I'm not sure I even saw her in person anywhere after that.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Fr. Richard conducted Morning Prayer on Zoom this morning.  I attended, but remained invisible because I was not feeling well and still in my robe.  My stomach is still a bit “wiggy,” but I’ll live.

Does anyone still celebrate Flag Day?

Yes, DR TCB, DAR celebrates Flag Day.  The 5 chapters in our county usually have a big luncheon, rotating hosting responsibilities from year to year.  My chapter was to host the event yesterday, but, of course, it was called off weeks ago.

What a great photo DR ELMORE.

I have seen a copy of the first interview that has been completed.  I need to wear my collar OUTSIDE my jacket and pull it down off my hips.....I am as big as a house and my face is sunburned and I squint like the sun is in my eyes.

BUT - the interview is good and lots of stuff was said that I think will be interesting....I didn't realize that the show was titled "Conversations With Jack" but I can live with that.....

It should be up on Tuesday and I shall post a link in case anyone is morbidly curious.....

The new Company company performs a Zoom version of the title song. I like it, but I just don't get the appeal of Katrina Lenk.

Had a good Zoom meeting.  Then did a bunch of stuff, and finally ordered food, which should be here in thirty minutes.  Meanwhile, on I plow through the Munch set - now playing, the Max Bruch violin concerto.

Just out of a Zoom Bible study. Went shorter than I expected. But we had a good discussion.

I realized that when I go to Louisville, I might be able to set up a Zoom birthday party for Mom and get my sister Brigitte to call in from Germany. Mom and I did a FaceTime call with her around Dad's funeral, but I don't think my other sisters have seen her in ages.
