I have encountered a problem that MR BK wrote about in the notes recently.

A FLY has invaded my home environment. However this is not just ANY FLY. He buzzes around flaunting his flyness in front of me.

However when I pick up the FLY EXTERMINATING Device - he somehow becomes invisible - and does not remove his cloak of invisibility until I put the FED away.

I am not sure which law enforcement or military entity to call with this information.

A couple of nights ago, I went into my upstairs bathroom and there were five, count 'em, FIVE flies flying around!

I quickly shut the bathroom door and decided that I wasn't going to leave until they were all dead.

I had an empty cardboard tube from some paper towels as my FLY EXTERMINATING Device. I was actually able to hit two of them as they were flying! That knocked them out and I was able to use some TP to pick them up and squish them (TMI, I know

).

It took a while, but I was able to wait until each of the other three landed and swat them with my cardboard tube. Mission accomplished!

We do not have a fly exterminating devise. We use a clean plastic glass and cardboard to trap and release. It works well for spiders.

Today I had my first haircut in seven months. Yesterday my hairdresser began a new job since the place near my home closed. While not very convenient, as in I can't walk to it anymore, the salon was very nice. I was impressed with all of the precautions that were taken, including signing an x for me where my signature goes on the credit card machine.

I washed and dried my hair this morning. My hairdresser used a flat iron to even out my hair before cutting it. Hair dryers understandably are not permitted.

I do try to catch and release spiders when I can...especially when they're really big and scary!
