Somehow I managed to squeeze in about 45 minutes of Miss Congeniality, which I love. It was filmed in Austin and San Antonio. Always nice to see both cities in a few of the exterior scenes.

I also think the script, for all its nonsense, is fairly well constructed. And the casting of Michael Caine, William Shatner and Candice Bergin works beautifully.

So, strange, but I checked out Facebook, which I do on a monthly basis. There was a posting from a group for people who used to work at the San Antonio paper. I looked at the page and there were eight obituary notices posted since late May. I wonder what's happening.
