This is actually the brand that they had had before, and had expected me to find at the store...but I didn't.

So, after I brought the booze and peanut butter to my sister's, I went to Margo's for dinner.

When I got there, we all chatted a bit and caught up with each other, and decided which burgers we all wanted.

Alexis placed the order online through her phone and was told that it would take about 20 minutes to prepare.

Margo provided the diet Pepsi and we all thoroughly enjoyed our burgers and fries.

We chatted as we ate, and chatted some more after we all finished, then I came home.

I read a few chapters of my book on my Kindle, but had to stop reading because the Kindle was almost out of power!

Now that I actually weigh enough to donate blood, at least for the last week, I was thinking of doing so.  I especially would like the covid anti-body testing that is included.

I went to the Red Cross website and, sadly, confirmed they still won't take my blood due to the high liver count I had in high school as a result of mono.

Did they realize that you weren’t still in high school?

Yesterday we had a demand from an actress who has appeared in exactly TWO shows - the last in 2016 - that we let her use the theatre for her October 24 wedding.....actually the demand came from her fiancee.....I mean their fiancee.

It was posted on our Facebook page.

Since we have had a similar request before, I gave our standard answer - which is NO.

:o How rude!

Guess I should write some notes.  Don't know why I'm tired after two days of ten hours of sleep, and yet...

I watched CAROUSEL tonight with Kellie O’Hara and Nathan Gunn.  I love both of them!  Possibly Nathan a little bit more.

Already thinking about tomorrow's 1000 calorie meal.  Today was exactly 1000 calories, then tenth day of it and it doesn't feel like I've lost a single pound - but that's how it is at this age - somewhere in week two the pound loss will start happening.  I hate the first two weeks of any diet because it's like you do all that work for no reason and no weight loss at all.

Oh and their wedding date is two weeks AFTER the property will have been closed for the season.

Well, at least they weren't asking to use the set of a show that would be up and running!

Oh I have decided that I will make my YouTube singing debut on Sunday, September 13, at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

It seems to be a popular time and I am sure everyone here at HHW will tune in.

I will be singing mostly songs by Bruce Kimmel with a few by other composers......it's going to be a trip around the world with guest stars and exotic locations.

See you there!  It's called Jack Sings and Swings the Kimmel Hits!

Count me in! :))

Well, I wasn't sure I would survive the Small Ladder, but I successfully changed the light bulb, only to drop and break it while I hobbling with it to the trash.  I had to deal with that cleanup while I tried semi-successfully to keep Stella out of the mess.

Oh, no!  Was it an incandescent bulb or a compact fluorescent bulb that has mercury? :-\

One thing that puzzled me: Is it in the original version of the musical that Billy commits suicide?  I have always seen it that Billy falls on his knife and dies.  That also allows Billy to be laying on his side or his stomach.  How Nathan Gunn managed to lie on his back and not breathe all that time.

We are going to have a heat wave this week, too.  Of course, our high temperature will only be in the mid-nineties.

According to the Wikipedia page for the film:

Quote
The film followed the stage musical faithfully, except for five major changes:

In the film, Billy dies by accident, rather than by suicide as in the show – when he falls on his own knife while trying to escape arrest. In the original stage production, he deliberately stabs himself while standing on the pile of crates, which does not collapse.

I did place an order for the Hawaiian facial masks. They said they were 20% off on Labor Day. Would that be tomorrow only? No discount appeared. Oh, well. They're lovely masks and reasonably priced.

That's too bad about not getting the discount, Jeanne.  Which one(s) did you order?

That is interesting that the article says in the film the Starkeeper tells Billy that Jigger died.  I don’t remember that in the movie.

I won the grand prize drawing. It’s a picnic basket with blanket, plates and cutlery plus a bottle of wine.

Congrats, John!
