Every week I still receive an email from my Ashland hiking group telling me about the fun I am missing. Here is tonight's email.
"At the risk of stating the obvious, there will be no trek tomorrow. Folks can't get from here to there , or even there to here. The air isn't fit to breathe in most of the valley, and debris is sailing around from trees and ash.
Let us pray for all those whose homes and families are in harm's way and for the blessed ones out there fighting the fires..
Stay strong. We will try again next week"
