It's almost 80 degrees here today!

In case anyone didn't know that, and needed the information.

So, the AppleCare move to rebuild from the hard drive worked, and I am back online and nothing was lost.  That's a big relief.

Thank Gawd!

I'm doing the backup now.

I also deleted my admirer Miranda Bush's invitation from Soundcloud and reported her as spam.  I checked her page.  she's sending the same delightful invitation to many potential admirers.

I always check to see what the updates are before actually installing - there's a little thing to click on that will tell you.  But it sounds like elmore's pop-up may have been one of those bogus things.  The only update I've had is for Safari - nothing else for the last couple of weeks.  I had no idea we went from Mojave to California because I haven't even gone to Mojave and won't until someone calmly explains to me where the iTunes stuff will be and that it looks the same.

That damned Mojave upgrade destroyed my iTunes playlists, and I had to go into my iTunes in my hard drive and download everything back into my iTunes.  I can no longer do playlists nor pay things on iTunes in correct recording sequence.  I detest it.

As soon as this backup ends, I will spend some time deleting iTunes I do not need any more.

FYI...my dad was the only religious person in our family, but the people at the church asked if she would go and she didn't want to go alone, so I'm going.  I remember going a few times when the church was first built, but I haven't been back.

I expect it will be moving as the service is for your father.  It is nice they asked your mother to be there.

Today is my son's birthday!

He's 51.

How can I have a 51 year old son?

It is strange to watch our children get old ;)

HAPPY 51ST BIRTHDAY TO YOUR SON!

There's a complete video performance of Rota's comic opera The Italian Straw Hat on youtube with Juan Diego Florez.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGAurASFeZA

There are also two other performances, one from 1975, possibly the premiere. and one from the Greek National Opera.

I made some tuna last night, and I’ve been intending to ask what everyone else puts in their tuna salad.

When I have it all here, my traditional things were celery, diced black olives, and diced onions (not too much, even though I love onion). Fresh ground pepper and sea salt to finish. On occasion I’ve been known to add a pinch of curry powder.

Recently, though, in lieu of all that, I’ve just mixed in some sweet relish (a sugar-free one), which I’d never done before in all of these years, and it’s delicious. I’m not sure that the relish would be compatible with those other more savory items, so I consider these to be alternatives.

What else should I be trying?

I love black olives, not sure I would like them in tuna.  I might try it one day as I occasionally make it.  I add celery, hard boiled eggs, and mayo.  The seasonings I like are salt, pepper, onion, and paprika.  Keith also likes garlic seasoning and mustard in his along with equal amounts of canned salmon to the tuna.

The Seller from the Philippines has advised me that I should contact the post office (!) and ask my neighbors and friends....they'll let me know if they have any news....  LOL

I can't really open a PayPal dispute, because it's not their fault....so I would guess I'll never get what I paid for.  Thanks,
Fed EX!

When we get packages delivered we can see, through our camera, the delivery person taking a photo of the package on the front porch.  If a photo was taken you might recognize the front door.

I am 57.  At some point, in answer to the question "How old are your children, now?" my mother began answering:

Old enough to be out on their own.    ::)

Friday morning greetings!  In a few minutes I have a FaceTime coffee date with my friend Rebecca.  I'm looking forward to hearing how the week has been since she began caring for her husband in their home.

I do hope her week went well.

I too am a Debra Winger fan though I haven't seen any of her recent work.  I very much wanted her to win best actress for SHADOWLANDS.

Are ring lights supposed to be as big as your head?  I think the one I ordered is suspect. It is pretty small.

This week’s TCM international film, which doesn’t start until 2 am ET, was an Ozu movie I had never heard of. Too bad I don’t have DVR here.

I have a DVR, but I don't have TCM anymore. :-\

We.still have high-lying smoke in our atmosphere from the western fires. Though of course, nothing like what the west has been experiencing.
