We read The Power of the Stars about the Spanish Flu in Dublin, only they called it the Grippe.

Speaking of Christmas, I do hope that it's a somewhat toned down one this year. I know many retailers feel they must be ultra aggressive, but with so many people out of work I think it'd be kinder to give some of it a rest. I've noticed that since Covid I've received fewer catalogs. Electronics are selling, but many other items don't seem to be, whether in-store or online.
