DR George - hugs to you. Thank you for sharing the photos and news about Neve.

Yesterday, I finished the first draft of the 32nd play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS collection.

The subject was a publicity client and good friend.  We knew each other for over 30 years.

Today, two other people who knew my subject (his daughter, a fellow actor) have suddenly become available for interviews, so there could be some re-writing.

The plot thickens...

DR George, I really admired your offer to Neve's original owner.  The photos were lovely as your gesture.

I got sidetracked in answering an email to my friend Charlie Harmon.  It was a sad day for many of his friends when he left Manhattan.

I also got sidetracked looking over notes from two wonderful men who read my Annabelle & Thatch book and sent their thoughts.  Since I am fully aware that one man's whimsy is another man's poison, I am happy to know they enjoyed it.

I had second and third winds going last night that kept me awake till three. And then I woke up at 7:30, so, four and a half hours of sleep? That ain’t going to fly.

It’s a gorgeous autumn day here, and there’s much I should be doing outside. I should follow through on that, and then probably have a more solid sleep tonight.

I have yet to attempt dictating anything to phone or tablet or computer.

There are people I know who do it all the time, for various purposes, and aside from the software occasionally making the wrong choice from words that sound alike, it works fine for them. I’m sure my results would look like BK’s, and worse.

Where's DR vixmom?  Whenever she doesn't show up in the morning I fear she's dead from exhaustion.  She works too hard, and I worry about her.

I just went through a box of photos that Mom had set aside for me. It was rather startling to see that there was a time when I didn't have a belly.

Watching another episode of The Avengers. Funny that a part of the plot was a very primitive version of artificial reality.

I just got an unplanned 45-minute snooze sitting in the recliner! Yes sir, I can use that sleep. Even that little bit helped.

I'm so happy to see that Sasha has joined TCB. I can't wait for more photos and some stories.

Leonard is hard to photograph. He moves his head away just as the camera clicks.

The bathroom is cleaned.  The door is closed so the cats cannot walk in the pinesol and other cleaning materials.  Their litterbox is in the hall and the curiosity over the closed off bathroom is at a fever pitch.

If there's one thing cats can't abide, it's a closed door.

I bought Leonard a two-pack of those flopping fish toys. He played with one while the other one charged up. I gave him one after it charged up. He looked at it and walked away. Hasn't paid attention to it since.

I gave the other one to Sandra. Magdalena chases hers all over. She carries it to the top of the stairs and plays with it as it flops down.

I removed two hours' worth of dead shrubs early this morning. My back was aching quite a bit.

I don't know if I mentioned it yesterday, but the City Yard Police drove by while I was working there yesterday. He slowed down and watched me working. I expect we'll get a citation in the mail in a couple of days.

I have been trying to unsubscribe from any number of emails that I don't need right now, especially the ones involving travel. I can always go back later, but I don't need to be reminded of what I cannot do.

I just wonder if unsubscribing from one email address doesn't generate email from another.

To continue with my story about Neve's ashes from last night since I was so rudely interrupted by the day change. ;)

My niece wants to bury Neve's ashes in her back yard with the ashes of her other cats.  That's also fine with me, but I don't know if that box should be buried.  I have to figure out what to do about all of that.  We're all getting together tomorrow for our family lunch/dinner/Phase 10 playing, so I'll bring the box and the paw prints and we'll talk.

The end. :)

I am glad you have a nice spot to bury Neve.

Yesterday, Jrand posted this:

The drive by shower was most excellent!

We drove right there.....several cars were parked and folks were walking about.....so we got out.

It was so nice to see my baby brother and his wife and nephew Grant and his wife Lynsie.....they are all so happy.  Lynsie's mom and sister did the decorations.....a very nice gift table....and BIG sign that said Grayson Wayne - the baby's name....

Balloons and streamers.....not TOO much....it was just right.

I asked Grant where he got the name and he pointed to his shirt that had a lot of Batman logos on it.....and I said oh.....Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne.....and he said YES.

I guess I am the only one besides his brother Garrett who had made the connection....LOL

I have a friend who also LOVES Batman so much that his wife allowed him to get the Batman logo on his wedding ring! :o

;D
