DR vixmom, I understand your dream completely.  The news about the Michigan governor and the Fay Orange Slug's vitriolic response terrify me.  I no longer want him to lose the election, since he's already setting up situations to ensure that he does not.  I want to know he's no longer alive.

DR TCB, Sasha is indeed a beauty.  I think she's just a bit smaller than Stella.

This morning I need to wander down to Staples and photocopy sheets of orchestra score so I can begin this job.  I would like to finish the work by Monday.

Last night, we watched HEARTS OF THE WEST (Jeff Bridges, Andy Griffith, etal).

Hadn't seen it for years.

Not as good as I remembered it.

Congratulations, DR Vixmom, on the minus 5!

I think they found their new home here.  And then some.  Although I did lose 15 in the hospital.

I love the music of Herbert Howells. In addition to the concerti and all the wonderful chamber music, his sacred choral music is the gold standard in the cathedrals of England, from since it was written through to today. Well, it would still be today, if choirs were singing.

Kitty cleanup is over and the bed is made.  I'm trying to work up my enthusiasm for traveling two blocks on a walker.

My goal was to lose 80 lbs, and I lost 60 of that before the quarantine in March.  I suspect I've added 20 lbs since then.

Last night we watched the 1942 Rosalind Russell movie of My Sister Eileen. I wanted to like it.  Give me Wonderful Town!

I'm wondering if I've seen that one since I was a kid watching it on afternoon TV. That would almost certainly have been my first exposure to the My Sister Eileen story.

I got the 1955 Janet Leigh one last year, and I may have seen that long ago, too, but the Blu-ray is beautiful and it was truly like seeing it for the first time.

I'm sure I have a few things to contribute to the Weird Stuff collection, but it will take me a while to go through the house and see what the hell they are.

That Kimmel cylinder certainly is a prize. It's great when people can find things like that. I have no such luck, given my all too common names.

This morning was our cat Mikey's Biannual Senior Preventative Exam, and he did fine. He's somewhere around 11-12 years old, and is in fine fettle except for his dental issues. He's one of those who's had dental issues from day one, or at least since he was rescued from the streets and we adopted him at around age two. No extractions are called for, but he needs a good prophylaxis, which only worries me because it has to be done under general anesthesia, and that can be dangerous if the procedure "insults" the kidneys. And his last bloodwork indicated he's another in line for eventual kidney disease. Oy!

The leaves, they are a-changin'.

I have decided I do not need to go to Staples.  I have enough here.  That's nice to know.  I do need to take the recyclables to the basement and check last night's mail.

Well I have taken some photos.....but my favorite collectibles are on the tippy top ledge.....and have not been dusted for quite some time.....and the photos are horrifying....

I need she of the Evil Eye to come and help me.

My big ladder is out in the storage barn....and I can't negotiate it into the house without help....so those pictures will be deleted forthwith.
