Interesting bit of tid: I'm in touch with the original gal who played Lolita in the musical and who was fired out of town - Annette Ferra she went by then.  I'm hoping to do an interview with her for the Kritzerland site.  She tells me there are lots of interesting stories.

More than 100,000 new covid cases for today and the day's tally isn't over yet. And more than 1,000 deaths. Although 8% of those come from Texas, which is due to top 1 million in a few days, the cases are up in all areas of the country. Just sad.

My sister Annaliese, who has been taking care of Mom, told me today that her husband works with someone who got tested today. if that person is positive, then Mike has to self-quarantine for 14 days. I don't know how that will affect things. Obviously Annaliese doesn't need to bring that near Mom. So, will she quarantine from her husband for that long?

Oh, no!  When this all started, I remember seeing stories of doctors and hospital workers who did quarantine from their own families.  One person had an RV and he lived in that while his wife and kids lived in their house.  I don't know how long he ended up living apart from them. :-\

We had a tree guy here today to take down a 40 foot tree that was going to fall either on on house, our pool, our our neighbors if we got hit with another very bad wind storm

He kindly went up in his bucket to see if he could remove the offending article but the wind had wound it so tightly around the electrical wires that it wasn’t safe to attempt it so I may be stuck with this thing for a very long time

Maybe the electric company will remove it.

Definitely. Call them. It’s on their wires so it’s their problem now.

So could I. And I've had dinner. Not that anyone's counting.

And should be a safety concern.

Thanks.  It is something I have had to deal with since I was a child.  Frustrating is I had gotten better control over it and had fewer bouts the last few years.  The last few months have been very bad with painful debilitating bouts again.

I’m please to announce that the audio version of my one-woman play, MAUREEN O’HARA, is now available for download at Amazon, Audible.com and iTunes.

Kathleen Godwin, who has previously recorded several of my plays (IDA LUPINO, etal), outdoes herself with this audio performance.  She brings Maureen O’Hara to life in the radio play-like production, which is enhanced with music and sound effects.

A frequent co-star of John Wayne and a favorite of director John Ford (despite their “difficult" relationship), Maureen O’Hara’s film credits includeTHE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY, RIO GRANDE, THE QUIET MAN and THE PARENT TRAP, among many others.

The play is also available in both paperback and Kindle editions on Amazon.

Please download your audition edition here.

Finally found time to order Lolita. If anyone can work a miracle with the sound of the tapes I’ve heard, it’s you, BK. Good luck with sales.
