DR TCB she made some absolutely crazy town statements about THE SEARCHERS and John Wayne when they showed that movie during PC Month.....Ben Mankiewicz and the Noir Guy Eddie Muller were both a bit taken aback by her virulent comments, but she just continued to display herself..... Up until then, Alicia Malone had been one of my favorite TCM hosts....up until then.

Although John Wayne's politics are well known and well to the right - she was way off base. Ben ended it with something like: "....well he was playing a part in a movie that he didn't write or direct....."

Instead of cranberries, I am giving Birdy Barnum some yogurt covered blueberries....he is rolling them around instead of tossing them out of the cage so maybe he will like them.
