Looking forward to listening to DR Donald's show.  Thanks for the reminder!

Enjoyed a fairly peaceful Saturday morning lying around eating some Entenmann's donuts and danish. Now it's time to move and get a few things done.

A new roof is being put on the house across the street.  There are lots of cars parked around and lots of noise.

What did you say?

The question about salmon reminds me of another fish thing my mom made a lot when I was a kid:  salmon patties. I hadn't thought about those in years, but a quick google search shows that they're very much a "thing". I have no idea how she made them, but I'm guessing that if I find a recipe in the old Betty Crocker book, that's probably it. And considering our lack of love for seafood through those years, those probably weren't very salmon-y. But I definitely liked them.

These days, I dunno, I can't think of a way I wouldn't enjoy salmon. It's good stuff. Baked or grilled are certainly favorites.

Salmon patties. Like peppermint patties. Only different.

Let us hope that DB Barnum doesn't start mimicking the sound of a nail gun.

That would be most vexing!

I once saw Two Fat Ladies poach in red wine with citrus on top. I’ve done that a few times and like it.

I misread that as “I once saw two fat ladies poached in wine ...”

Did they poach each other? There was something large enough to fit both at the same time?

Two packages for another building have sat in our lobby for a week now. I sent a complain to the US Postal Service on Sunday, and I have sent follow-ups every day this week. On Thursday the incompetent Planetarium Station manager called me and said someone will pick them up and deliver them to the correct address. They still sit here.

The salmon patties seem similar to crab cakes. If so, then why don't we call them salmon cakes, and crab patties? If indeed they're called salmon cakes, then they're like chocolate cakes. Only different.

Went to Sam's Club. The prices aren't as good as Costco, but the meat is in much more manageable portions. I can get a lamb roast without buying the rest of the animal.

When I was growing up, we used to get new beach towels every May before school let out. We never went swimming, so I don't really know what their use was. And yet they always wore out with just sun bathing.

Anyway, I did find a 6-foot beach towel today at Sam's with lobsters and crabs on it. It seemed to call to me, and it was nice to relive an old tradition.

I couldn’t convince the doctor to throw in a tummy tuck or butt lift with the colposcopy.  I think those should definitely be an included part of the procedure
