BIRDY BARNUM seems to have gotten back into the swing of things.  He is singing and dancing today and doing his tricks when requested....

I also put up a new small mirror on the wall outside his cage so that he can see ALL of himself when he wishes.  He spent quite a bit of time admiring himself.....  His other mirrors are smaller and don't give the full Birds Eye View.

I’m not great today. I have a stomach ache on the left side. I hope it’s not diverticulitis.

The Met has posted two weeks of programming today. Would love to watch Prince Igor. There are a couple of minor Rossini works that intrigue. Plus, a full Lucia after last week’s small scale version.

Sad report: As people start going back to their prepandemic ways, they’re getting rid of their pets.

Richard Widmark...he was pretty good in just about everything.  And when I happen to see his name in the cast list, I usually give it at least a cursory glance.

Me, too.

That is sad. I wondered about it when there was this rush to acquire pets. Don't people think ahead at all?

I had a bad night. I didn't fall asleep until 1:30, then woke at 5:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. Ugh!

The plumber finally showed up to replace my kitchen faucet. He was scheduled for last Thursday, but was a no-show. Rescheduled for 9 this morning. Of course, I rushed through my stretches to be ready for him and thought I'd wait on breakfast until after he left. His son, also a plumber, arrived at 11. The son seems like a nice kid and appears to know what he's doing. He replaced the faucet and installed my new (replacement) water purifier. I can do the water purifier myself, but he did it in a heartbeat, where I have to read the directions and say things like, "Now what is THIS?" He is MUCH  more efficient!

This week the ACC monsters murdered adorable little Keys. I wish I could have saved him.
