Today begins a mini-vacation for me. The DH and I are driving to southern Minnesota to see his mom, who lives in an assisted care facility. We haven't been able to see her in person for the last year and a half, so that will be nice.

I spoke to my kidney surgeon yesterday about this pre-radiation hormone treatment, and he said he will co-ordinate this with Dr Blacksburg. I just want to get it moving.

TOD 1:

I made a Thai chicken noodle soup this week with coconut milk, ginger, fish sauce, lime juice, lemon grass and lime leaves. All Keto friendly except for the noodles, which could easily be left out or substituted with bell pepper, celery or other vegetables.

One of my worst nightmares just happened. As I came in from the basement and mail, I opened the apartment door and Annabelle ran out into the hall. I watched her vanish around the corner by the elevator and thought, I'm finishing up wjat I need tp accomplish before I chase her down. Now, walking about on a walker is a slow chase.

So, I emptied the bag on the walker and opened the door, hoping Annabelle would be in the near vicinity, No such luck, bit while I called for Annabelle, Stellas slipped between my legs and ran after her. Two cats on the loose, and I had no idea what to do about it. I'd have to catch them one at a time. I got the walker to the door opened it, and Stella was right there. She ran back into the apartment.

I debated killing her for a second, then stepped into the hall and called for Annabelle. This enormous Meooooooow! rang down the stairwell. Is she on 2 or 4? I decided to start upstairs and rode the elevator to 5. She sat in front of 4C, my new neighbor the law student's apartment. screaming her lungs out. I walked the walker to her, got on my hands and knees, and she came to me. I put her in the bag on the walker. As I stood, and she jumped out and ran back to the door of 4C.

I debated murdering her in the hall, then walked back to her, and she came to me. My legs were killing me so I did not get back in the floor. I grabbed her tail, picked her up by it, tossed her in the bag, and hustled to the elevator. She's now home and the leg I fell on is killing me

Thursday morning greetings! Not sure where I've been all week, but I can tell you that Richard and I are slowly emerging from quarantine. Last Saturday he went to a funeral at his church in Dayton and we went to Sunday's service there together. Monday evening I went to AAUW's first in-person meeting since March, 2020.
