I asked him about the 3-month wait for an appointment. He said that he can schedule surgery a week in advance. He had no explanation for the long wait. It was clear, though, that communication is lacking between admin and him -- he didn't even know what I'd come in for. Sigh.

I went out to water lightly. Everything is happy because of the rain. New flowers have come out. More are budding up. But the nicest sight was of a clump of leaves at the base of the fig tree. It’s not dead after all. That just makes me happy.

Quote from: Jeanne on May 13, 2021, 04:03:42 PMYesterday was Eye Day. I saw a new ophthalmologist for a consultation. This is the doctor I've been trying to see for TWO YEARS. He confirmed what other eye doctors had told me, but each one of them had each used different terminology from one another. I suspected that they were all saying the same thing, but wanted clarification. He seems quite competent, but goes about 80 mph. I prefer doctors who go a little slower, give patients time to take it all in and then ask questions. This is not the way that medicine is practiced these days. He did answer my questions, I just had to slip them in when he wasn't looking. As I expected, he wants to do a procedure on my right eye. Unfortunately, Covid may cause some problems there. Once it's approved I'll be able to talk to one of the schedulers about it. NOTHING happens until they have approval.MAJOR VIBES YOU HAVE THE PROCEEDURE & IT IS A SUCCESS!

Vibes for all!
I filed what was called an exception to work from home permanently. So has most of the team I’m on.

Last year when things reopened people went crazy. I'm concerned that that will happen again. But the case counts are lower now, which gives us some measure of protection.

Admin throughout both Cedars and UCLA just isn't very good.
Oh, oh. This photo goes with a story on how to avoid mask burns
It’s not dead after all.
