Well, you've read the notes, the notes arrived, and now it is time for you to post until the arriving cows come home.

Here's a disappointment: the lady who contacted me yesterday was looking for advice on cleaning out the music collection of her late husband, a Broadway conductor and musician, and Jonathan Tunick referred her to me because of my Drama Book Shop days. Annabelle & Thatch still slumber and remain with no agent and no sell.

Yesterday the temperatures got up to 87F, and by 3:00 this morning it was quite chilly in the apartment.  We're back yo the low 70s today.

Locking out story:

I once started my car , realized the neighbor’s trash bin had been left in the middle of the road by the trash collectors

So I got out of my car to move it back to the sidewalk

My car door locked behind me

With the car running and my house keys , purse, phone etc in the car

And of course the house was locked

Fortunately my neighbor across the street still had a spare key to my house ( where I had a spare key for my car)

Unfortunately he was asleep  and not best pleased when I woke him (although very understanding once I explained the situation)

When I first moved into this apartment. I was continually locking myself out when I left the apartment to throw garbage down the incinerator chute. Then I would go upstairs to the neighbor above me, climb out onto the fire escape, walk down to my apartment and climb in the window. I finally wised up and started leaving the door unlocked while I was home.

I must throw the bathroom rug into the washers, and I'm ready to face the dryers.

Got to the doctor’s office early. Sat in the car and finished A Guide to the Birds of East Africa. (Got the title slightly wrong yesterday.) Sweet tale.

I came up to the doctor’s office to discover I’m 45 minutes early for the appointment. I thought it was 8:15. It’s at 8:45.

My TOD dream meal would be quite odd, because the things I love don't really go together.

Mashed potatoes with spaghetti?

Swan Lake.  It's something about a swan. And a lake.     ;D

War and Peace.  It's something about war.  And something about peace.
