We were very fortunate yesterday afternoon to have that heat start to break -- and we didn't even have to suffer through a storm to get it. It sprinkled for a few minutes, but the rain clouds were few and far between. But the north winds blew in and it was heavenly.

Wednesday looks to be about 90 again, but just that one day. Looks like we're golden for the rest of the week.

The woodpeckers are at it!

Must be their season.

Couple of loud ones -- one not too far from the house, and another in the distance.

Well, I think that's all the drivel you're going to get out of me for a while.

It's time for me to finish my coffee and get my ASS into gear.

DR Elmore, maybe when you get that trunk unlocked, you'll find an old song or two that you can use.

Or maybe even Judy Garland.

Yours is probably better than those. I'm thinking:  Sears, maybe?  in the 1960s.

It looks like this with wheels. It looked like a Rhino trunk, so I called them. The young lady I spoke to said their trunks do not come with locks.  The one pictured here is from Red Barrel. All I remember from 2008 now id that I ordered the smaller of two choices, and it took about a week to ship from the West Coast (?).

Or Henry and Mortimer.

DR elmore3003, have you tried turning it over to see if a manufacturer is ID'd on the bottom?

I did.  There was nothing. I've been thinking, what if the company folded during the quarantine last year? That might explain why I cannot find the company online. I think I will try to break in with a screwdriver.

I still blame Jose!

I've booked tomorrow's Access A Ride. Next: attempted break in.

My insurance is covering $5,000 of my CT scan tomorrow. Sadly, I still have to pay more than $1,000 for my copay.

That's horrible. Is this your employee health insurance? If so, they should look for another insurance company.

To Annabelle's dismay we did not need the dynamite. The trusty screwdriver worked fine and the comforter is back in storage.

She watches too many westerns when I'm out.

I mispoke. It’s a CT scan and they really don’t like paying for them. I had to pay $800 for the one they used in the ER in Louisville in December.

DR John G., I'm sorry you didn't install the type of AC system that also performs CT scans.
