I can't believe we even had a program for that amateur Once Upon a Mattress! I wasn't really on The Red Skelton Show - I attended the Red Skelton show and thought I should have some decent credit for something. This was the one and only time I was ever in an ensemble without an actual role to play.

That would have been around 1962, I should think, maybe 1963.

Not the Ron Silver the seller thinks. But happy to see he thinks I'm important enough to be in the header :) I may have to purchase it. I do have some Polaroids of rehearsals and stuff. Where is the question, but I know I've seen them recently so probably in the garage. Oh, I think I know where.

Bruce, I didn't know you did that show. I think it must have been just before we met, because it was you who told me about Bluth Bros and their production.

BTW, only two of the photos in today's Notes even look like you! The one next to the owl and the one with Mary Lee's mother. Even Diane doesn't look like herself.

If I could name one single lost thing in my life to be returned, it would be the daily diary I kept through my senior year in high school. Actually, it was written in a nice spiral bound calendar book someone had given me. I think it was a picture book of Switzerland, with beautiful color photo pages alternating with "weekly" pages divided into seven days to a side. I remember writing very tiny to squeeze in all the activities and comments for each entire day.

Being a calendar book, it would have spanned a calendar year, so what it probably covered was the second half of my junior year and the first half of my senior year, and the summer in between. No matter. Whatever the actual time span, that would absolutely be my Rosebud. It's the only time in my life I kept such a detailed record, and it would return to me literally what I did every single day for a year, in that most critical time in many of our lives. "Rosebud." Yep, that works.

I keep a diary, but I also have an old-fashioned, hard-copy appointment book, which I keep after the year is over. I write down anything that has tax significance or just notable things I did. I often find it handy to have that snapshot. Just this morning, in fact, I looked up some doctor's appointments from last year. It's often useful.

There are a few things I wish I hadn't gotten rid of. Antiques Roadshow started not long after my father died and it would have been so helpful to have had a few seasons of the show under my belt before wading through all the decades of stuff my parents hung onto. I never would have guessed so much had value as collectibles!

DR Jane asked:
Quote
I didn't realize you had Astrazeneca.  Are you expecting new info on mixing the brands soon?

As of right now it is our choice whether to get the 2nd AZ at 8 weeks, 12 weeks or to get Pfizer as our second dose. But new info is coming out all the time.

When I got my shot AZ was the only option. And we didn't know how long it would be till they opened my age group for Pfizer.

No, it's not happening.  It didn't work out, so we'll have to reschedule.  Hopefully, sooner rather than later.
