Kind of like our trip, mostly no masks. We doubt everyone has been vaccinated.

I am more concerned about catching a cold than covid, probably because the air conditioning the last 3 nights has made me feel like I am fighting a cold. Hopefully it is just allergies.

Listening to some new George Antheil music that came in to the library. This first disc, Specter, is three pieces for violin and piano. There's also an Antheil orchestral works collection. Both feature the Specter of the Rose Waltz, which was reorchestrated a year after it premiered.

I think Cole Porter Vol. 3 may be my favorite of all Ben Bagley's albums. The library in my neighborhood had a copy when I was a burgeoning Porter fanatic in high school. It was the first Bagley album I ever heard. So, it has special memories for me. A Lady Needs a Rest is a classic, as is Elaine Stritch growling through When Love Beckoned. Lynn Redgrave is delicious on I Want to Be Raided by You, even if the title is written in the passive voice. (The copy editor needs to go on vacation.)
