I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep or thereabouts. She of the Evil Eye has arrived but I'll hang out here for a bit before heading over to the theater, since I'm not going to eat anything this morning.

The Song Has No Button would make a great title for something or other.

I echo the appreciation for DR John G.'s ruminations about In the Heights.  I have never listened to the score. Looking forward to the experience.

So glad to hear the (mostly) good news, Elmore. Actually, I think it is very good news.

I hope that these increasingly belligerent, unruly plane passengers are permanently barred from ever flying again.

Just back from Costco. Gas was still at $2.38 a gallon. I was pleased.

Just crossed a very long-delayed project off the list.

The kitchen required an extreme deep-cleaning of every nook and cranny, including scrubbing the floor, the countertops, and all the cabinetry.  It was a big job, and if feels good have accomplished it.

Investing more in my health, I have acquired a Fitbit, so I can monitor my attempts at increasing my movement. The cleaning today actually helped push me over the top for my daily goal.

I don't know if I will ever be able to figure out all of the things a Fitbit can do. But it's a lot, if you can figure out all the "apps" and how to access them.

I sure wish somebody would READ the damn book, and yes, I am looking at several people who have it and have started it and then put it down like so much fish.

The sound we were supposed to do today didn't happen and I'm afraid I had to get tough. In fact, I said unless I was comfortable with everything on Monday that we would not play the preview Tuesday and would not, in fact, play the play until the sound was right and we all were happy. Today was supposed to be eleven and the sound person got there at 1:15 saying he'd never said eleven - unfortunately for him, five people heard him say it. So, others showed up for no reason. Monday was supposed to be at seven - we ALL agreed on it - now it has to be four or eight. I suspect it will be eight.
