For the first time in 2021 my parents, my nieces, my sister, her husband and I had a family dinner/BBQ outside. The weather was so nice too.

I am happy for you.

Well, I'm off to usher for I AM NOBODY'S LUNCH, a Play with Music By The Civilians.  The performance is at the South Puget Sound Community College Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts.

It'll actually be live and in person (Sally Durant ;) )!  I have no idea how many people will show up, but they only asked for two ushers.

Hopefully, one usher is enough because as of right now, I'm the only one who signed up to usher! :o I'm sure the house manager will usher, too, so I'm sure it'll all be fine.  I'll find out soon enough.

Be back later.

Dancing was a bust tonight. The temperature was 81 degrees. The music was depressing. We left early.

The crostada was very tart, which I liked. I think American tastes would have wanted more sugar in it. I was happy just the way it was.

Back from a wonderful but as it turns out somewhat bittersweet dinner with Muse Margaret and Richard - can't divulge the bittersweet part for a couple of weeks - nothing bad, just bittersweet.

Dinner was great - a total CHEAT dinner filled with carbs, I imagine. One chicken breast with her Ritz cracker crust - I don't think THAT was bad and the string beans were nothing. It was the rice and the chocolate cake. But it's the first non-Keto day in three or four weeks now, so I'll be a good boy for the next few days, especially good.

When I got home, I was quite surprised to see seven orders for The Creature Wasn't Nice DVD. When that happens it means someone talked about it somewhere - and we zoomed from a sales rank of 4 million-something to just over 100,000 - pretty good.

Well, get a load of this sales rank - I'd say we're a HIT, wouldn't you?

Best Sellers Rank: #3,588 in Movies & TV (See Top 100 in Movies & TV)
#48 in Musicals (Movies & TV)
#469 in Comedy (Movies & TV)

It was a revue (skits, songs, monologues) mostly about the early 2000s and George W. Bush. :o

It was actually written back then, so they touched on 9/11, "Mission Accomplished," things like that.

Very interesting choice for the first live performance from the college.

I was the only usher, but it was all general admission with specific seats available, so people were distanced, but still could sit where they wanted.

It was quite warm up the stairs where the entrance of the theater is, but I had a diet Coke from McDonald's, and I was given a bottle of water, too.
