I just found out that a friend of a friend was killed in his driveway while going to get the mail, by a neighbor with his car who didn't like the idea of having a gay couple in the neighborhood.

Sometimes I despair of this world.

What a horrible situation! I hope they take the bastard for everything they can get.

DR Laura, I showed him your video. He said neither one should be allowed near a keyboard ever again.

The weather outside is scary. Even scarier is our lunatic governor last week said the electric grid was fixed after dozens of deaths in the winter freeze. Today we got notice that the heat was going to put too much pressure on the grid.

I'm sorry about that situation, DR John G.

I'm afraid I can't read anything in the news mentioning your Governor. It just makes me too mad.

From the "Did You Know" department:

A teaspoon of neutron star matter would weigh about a billion tons here on Earth.

In other galactic news, On This Day in 2002, a large asteroid just missed the Earth. 2002 MN, a 73-meter lump, was three times closer to the Earth than the Moon. It was first discovered 3 days after its closest approach.

Shortly, I shall be on my way to the mail place, then to sup, then to do a run-through of the playlet with lights and sound.

Turns out when I get back to Louisville, I will be able to catch some performances by the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival.

On Saturday nights at around 11 p.m., they have a comedy improv group that involves audience members giving them bits based on Shakespeare plays.
