We are treating ourselves to some yummy Italian food that is being delivered posthaste.

Sounds good.

I know it's so much better for me than sitting for 8.5 hours straight.

I can believe that.  Stretches are also easier to do while standing.

Tuesday evening greetings!  Richard retrieved our held mail this morning and we just returned from a major grocery shopping trip.  I feel like we were gone for 6 weeks rather than that number of days.

We simply have it delivered on the day we return.

I have seen zero unmasked employees. And I have read zero about an influx of Covid cases anywhere, save for many weeks ago with some baseball team, I think, and they were ALL asymptomatic. Cases are at an all-time low, as are deaths, and hospitals are empty, Covid-wise. If it were any other way, the CDC would be talking about it.

The number of unmasked employees at the market is rapidly rising.

We couldn't get out for a walk today until later in the day.  We were pleasantly surprised that at 79 degrees, with a nice breeze, we were very comfortable.

I don't think they can go unmasked here. I literally have not seen a single unmasked employee.

I don't care if they are masked or not, if vaccinated.  I care that I don't know if anyone is checking.

I just received an email from a local Washington/Oregon health system regarding masks.

Both Oregon and Washington are close to lifting COVID-19 restrictions.

Each state is within reach of achieving their goal to reopening. In Oregon, the goal is to have 70% of residents 18+ receive a first dose. Washington state has already set their opening date of June 30th.

While states will not require masks in most public settings, there may be exceptions such as health care facilities, airports, and public transit systems.

In most markets I've been to, they haven't even removed the plastic shields yet. If anyone wants proof from me, I photographed by card and it's on my phone.

Two hours to the reading. I have no idea what will come out of my mouth when I sing. NO idea. Pray for Rosemary's Baby. I do feel okay now and the guck seems to be gone. The Claritin-D is working and I have some Gerther's Pastilles and water and soda, all close by when we begin. The living room is filled with chairs, scripts are where I want people to sit.

DR George do employees have to show proof they have been vaccinated?

Yes.  There are still some people who are wearing masks, but I don't know if they're vaccinated or not.  If they want go continue wearing them, that's okay.

I wish it wasn't on the honor code alone.   I understand not being able to ask people walking in if they have been vaccinated, however, it seems employees should have to show proof before taking their masks off.

No, it's not on the honor system.  Employees had to show HR proof of vaccination before we would be allowed to go maskless.  Those of us who were vaccinated got a sticker to put on our name badges to show that we aren't required to wear a mask.  But, it's possible that there are people who have been vaccinated but still want to wear masks.  I just don't know if there is anyone choosing to wear a mask after getting vaccinated.

As for the public, none of the public come into this building, so we don't have to worry about that.  The public branches do, and I don't remember the details of all that.

Thanks for explaining.  That is the way it should be to protect you, them, and others.  It might also encourage the unvaccinated to get vaccinated if they don't have a medical reason to pass on it.

Keith planned another road trip, this time to San Francisco, Monterey, and Ashland.  After the fact I said we should have asked it friends could meet us, so we did last night.

I am currently reading an interesting book, The Spy and the Traitor: The Greatest Espionage Story of the Cold War by Ben Macintyre.
