Went on a longer bike ride than usual as I wanted to listen to the newly released cast album of the new Andrew Lloyd Webber show "Cinderella" - and listen I did - to the entire thing.

While I don't judge a show entirely by its cast album - as I really feel  to make an opinion you need to see it in  its entirety on stage (or even a video).  I will say it needs another listen after I've read the synopsis.  But the initial reaction has been good so far.

That's encouraginflg.  My copy has arrived(!) and I'll listen to it after I've finished BK's interview. :)

Well, I just finished listening to the interview and it was great!  The woman really did her research and knew what questions to ask.  BK was a great interviewee...not unexpectedly.

And now, I'll listen to ALW's Cinderella until I leave to go to my mom's...in about a half hour. :)

Lots of people here on the Westside of LA still wear masks, including me. I've gotten used to servers wearing masks and I wish they would continue. I've don't care to be served food by someone whose hair is unkept. Some servers, though, are no longer wearing them.

I love everything Liz. I think her recording of The Story Goes On on this album surpasses her performance on the OBC.

So do I.

I have noticed a few servers not wearing them.  Beginning Sunday we will be eating out every night so we shall see.  Even in Idaho & Wyoming servers were still wearing masks & restaurants were requiring them until you were seated.  That may have changed by now.  I have noticed more & more employees in the market not wearing masks, though the majority are.

Thanks.  I listened to some of it but the sound quality was too difficult for me.

Since I didn't go to the gym today, and basically got every thing done I needed to do today, I am going for an evening walk.

Where's Jrand? Oh, maybe he got irritated that I've given up on him finishing the book? Sorry, but one works very hard on these things and it's just dispiriting that they sit, unfinished. That's just me. Hopefully he'll be back with us soon. Certainly, I won't be bringing it up anymore and in fact didn't - I just responded.

Earlier when Keith & I walked it was still in the seventies, and we walked in the shade.

Finished Barber's Vanessa and am now listening to his Antony and Cleopatra - I know it was lambasted at its premiere, but it's really good. And Vanessa is superb, especially in its classic RCA recording with Eleanor Steber, conducted by Dimitri Mitropoulos.

It is hot out.

It’s in the 70s here. Never got above 79 today. It’s July. What gives?
