At some point today, I'm supposed to help my friend Margo clean her air conditioner unit. Fortunately, it's not supposed to be as warm as it was last weekend, and we'll be doing it sometime in the afternoon, not after 7:00 pm, like it was going to be, so that's good.

And now, I need to scoop out Henry's litter box, then I'm off to sleep. I just realized that I've never slept in my parents' bed before...at least, not in this particular bed. Do I sleep on my mom's side, or on the side with my dad's ashes?? I guess I'll decide when it's time.

Yes he decided last year that instead of renewing his green card for a 4th time to apply for citizenship.

He put in all his paperwork about 18 months prior to the expiration of his green card, plenty of time under normal circumstances

And then the plague immediately descended and nothing was normal

We were told originally he would be called for his test and interview by July or August of 2020, since then the time keeps getting pushed …October, December, January , March, then they just said yeah maybe another 7 months

But his green card goes out in August , so he decided to apply for the extension in March at which point he was advised the normal 3-4 week turnaround was now 18 + months

And you had to wait until 30 days prior to expiration to apply for an emergency review

If his immigration status goes out he would lose his job and need to leave the country or else his citizenship application would be in jeopardy

I do hope so! My PUA ends, I believe, on Sept. 5, and with the pandemic running on, I'm worried about my situation.
