BK has watched it more times than I have, but yes, it's always tempting to take out Mulholland Drive for yet another spin. And I would say I'm about due for one.

Here's a silly trivia question:

I might not be up to date on this now, but some Internet Experts have said the opening shot of the dancers is supposed to be a fade-in, but it's a straight cut on (most? all?) home video releases. Is there a definitive word on that?

I stepped out to the basement after cleaning up Stella's mess. Walking into the hall was like stepping into a sauna. After I pay a few bills, which I hope to mail tomorrow, the cays and I are going to relax and maybe nap.

One day many years ago I sat down and made a little list of the movies I knew I'd seen a lot more than others, and where I'd seen them. This was before my getting into home video. That list, I'm afraid, is long gone, but I know it only contained a few -- first and foremost, 2001 and West Side Story. Maybe Citizen Kane and Psycho in second place. But I had yet to become the movie person I am now, and now I would have no idea how to compute such a thing. Those titles probably still hold, but there are also certainly many many others to equal them.
