From DR TCB:
Quote
Three counties in Washington (Eastern I believe) that have vaccination rates of between 25 and 30%.

That is worse than my county which is only at 52%

DR vixmom, what excellent news! I did not remember that Steve was having INS troubles.

Yes he decided last year that instead of renewing his green card for a 4th time to apply for citizenship.

Are you thinking of retiring in Florida instead of Canada?

And the Canadian borders are still closed

I do believe they will soon be opening for vaccinated Americans.

It’s been very worrying

I can imagine and understand your tears of relief.

Hopefully his birthday present this year will be a lovely stamp from the INS renewing his green card

I do hope so! My PUA ends, I believe, on Sept. 5, and with the pandemic running on, I'm worried about my situation.

Hope it is extended at least through the end of the year

How long is a green card normally good for?

So after all the promises of it being several degrees cooler today, we're already up to 87 degrees. I had to look, because it sure was feeling like it did the past couple of days.

Sorry, you folks in the more hellish climes. I should hardly be complaining...

Well with our only child in Florida that would be my preference, but Vixdad doesn’t like the heat

I just received the mp3 files of an NPR program "Fresh Air," from Sept. 1999. It's a program of early Jerome Kern songs with John McGlinn, Rebecca Luker, and George Dvorsky. If you would like the program, let me know, and I will send it to you.

Yes, please.

I could watch many of those often, and It's a Wonderful Life could probably be added to my list.

But one question: Only 4 films with Babs?

Singing In the Rain

This in a second-tier list with The Bandwagon, Finian's Rainbow and The Wiz, the latter two of which have a soundtrack that's better than the movies are, but I watch them anyway.

I'm up, I'm up  - less than six hours of sleep. Was up at nine-thirty and had to drive to storage because they called and said that on one unit I hadn't slid the bolt into lock position before attaching the lock. So, I took care of that - but that was an hour of the day.
