Red Gold

And the Benjamin Kritzer and Adriana Hofstetter books should be TV series.

I had several strange dreams that I now remember nothing of. I do remember bits of one in which I was at a train station waitging for a train with a ypoung boy and girl and the head of the last foundation I worked for. The train was late and I got a phone call from a mustery person who wanted to purchase all of my Babes In Toyland materials. I was trying to keep the gist of this call from the foundation head.

I have had some odd dreams lately. In one i was cast in a play within a play, except the within-a-play part hadn’t been written. I wasn’t the star of this show but I was leading the protest that we couldn’t perform until the writing was done.

I used to do that with books, imagining how they should be filmed and cast, and those ideas inevitably turned out to be silly and embarrassing to me in later years. I'll be interested to hear people's ideas on BK's books.

I think the most fun as a movie would be Patrick Bronstein Presents. All of those schlocky movies would be a hoot. I’d rather have two actors playing the part, nothing like the creepy de-aging process of The Irishman. But I could see Dustin Hoffman playing the elder Patrick. (Mel Brooks would be even more ideal.)

Monday morning greetings! No excuse - good or bad - for not posting here recently. I've been pretty involved in crafty things, even going IN PERSON to the monthly art journaling class at a store in the Dayton 'burbs. And Richard is indulging me in the Ohio Paper Crafting Shop Hop, which involved a day trip last Tuesday and will involve a little more extensive travel a couple of days this week.

And last Thursday, my book group gathered for a potluck dinner at the new home of our friend Katie. She and her husband have built their retirement home adjacent to the bed and breakfast they own in Oxford, OH. My contribution to that event required 2 days of cookie baking last week.

TOD: Yes, the Benjamin Kritzer trilogy should be a series. The Adriana Hofstetter stories would make great movies. Not sure about casting.
