I'm quite sleepy this morning, so I'm going to nap for a bit.

DR TCB, that survey you mentioned doesn't surprise me at all. I fell pretty pessimistic that way myself most of the time these days. Not so much in the country, but in my fellow citizens. Which ARE the country.

I guess one drawback to going back to live Kritzerland shows is that the talent pool is limited a lot more by who is in the LA environs.  Is there a way you could do a video "drop in" performance, projected on a screen?

We, actually, got out of the house on Monday and went to a restaurant.  No masks.

Aside from doctor appointments and going to the market or the drug story, I hadn't been out of the house for over a year.

I napped for about an hour, got up, did kitty cleanup, and then decided to upgrade my Mac. It should be finished in around eight hours!

I've been reading the new Al Hirschfeld biography. I was very lucky to meet him around 1995 or so. He had agreed to sign copies of his latest book, and Arthur Seelen, the owner of the Drama Book Shop, and I went to his house on East 85th(?) Street, had a lovely visit, and returned to the shop with a lot of signed books.

I'll watch it one more time - but after that, I'm cutting the dance.

Miss Know Everything is teaching it backstage - so the poor ladies in the cast are stuck in the middle between her ludicrous interpretation and what I have told them to do....they are so confused and nervous, they don't know if they're walking or riding a bicycle.

So - it's  cut.

Sad but necessary since she won't shut her damned mouth.  I hope she enjoys her first show/SWAN SONG here at the theatre.

I’m glad you enjoyed a night of freedom. I’m going back to wearing the masks. I don’t need even a mild case of this.

Nice. Been a big fan for a long time. Is the bio good?

I think my first Hirschfeld encounter was in grade school. We were given the drawing he did of Barbra in roller skates for the movie of Funny Girl. It explained the Ninas and told a little about him.

Going tonight to Shakespeare in the Park. We started going back in 1975, when I started reading Shakespeare. My favorite actor in the company is still acting with them after all these years. That’s some run.

As I said before. It ain’t Shakespeare. It’s Shakespeare in Love. I hope to catch their other production, Henry V.

I've been outside mowing, and now I'm taking a break with a turkey, swiss and avocado sandwich and a cup of Sumatra coffee, made strong.  In a little while, some weed whacking.

I haven't been able to work outside for a couple of weeks, because it's either sweltering or raining. Take your pick. I'm literally sneaking this much in.
