Still looking for a replacement. Everyone seems to be out of town, which I find very peculiar.

Summer break, fires, etc ;)

Wednesday evening greetings!  We had a lovely day, driving east from Columbus into the Appalachian foothills.  Our destination was a paper crafting shop in New Concord, OH, which is also the home of Muskingum University.  That’s niece Rev. Amy’s alma mater, so we drove around a bit and sent her some photos.

I have heard the smoke from the West Coast is traveling to the East Coast.

Indeed it is, DR Jane.  We first noticed the effects in last night’s sunset and today was very hazy.

Richard’s wish was granted when we stopped for lunch at Cracker Barrel in Zanesville. He had chicken and dumplings and I had a chef’s salad.

We made our way back to the Columbus ‘burbs by way of the now-defunct Longaberger headquarters (the famous basket building), a drive through the campus of Denison University, and some wild rush hour traffic on the Columbus beltway.

No word from the first place

I hope that means they haven't decided yet vs being rude.

They had more than 40 applicants , so they may still be interviewing but I suspect they found someone they liked better.

I understand that I may not be anyone’s first choice these days because of my age, why spend time training someone and incorporating them into your crew just for them to walk away in a couple of years

It’s weird being the same age as old people

The basket people are out of business?

If only you could find a position where the boss wants to retire in a few years.

The company has had its ups and downs and is being “relaunched” by the daughters of its founder.

When??? Tell me the date. And why don't you do a Goodreads review? Ah, May 24th. I'll check.

DR Jane, thanks for posting the photo of the basket building.  It’s not as spiffy today, but at least it’s still standing.

I thought the grounds around it were lovely and it seemed like a good location for a hotel.

This post, Jane? "Another wonderful review that captures the essence of the book." - That's not exactly YOUR opinion. What did YOU think?

You are right, no review.  I am sorry.  As you know I hate writing them.  Most "reviews" I put on Goodreads are really notes to myself.

Doing a search I have not been able to find my original comment or the review that prompted it.

Good Evening - spent most of my day catching up on my online class I'm taking for school - It's a religion training class - 6 weeks long.  I was 2 weeks behind, but nothing is deemed "late" so I'm good.  I'm just not a student, really never have been.  Just signed into the weekly chat.  Send help LOL

One more week.  It's actually not hard, just wordy and dry.
