I share BK's shock at how few people I know have retained ANY kind of physical media playing capability.

I can understand, or at least I'm accustomed to, the fact that today's kids have nothing to do with owning discs and whatnot. But I have to shake my head at the number of adult humans I know who quite literally threw it all away in favor of streaming. Yes, some people have had good reasons for doing that, but they aren't the majority of those that I simply see as lemmings.

I have been reading too many stories of children going to the hospital with covid. One baby had to be airlifted to a hospital with beds as none were available locally. That baby is fine now.

I am so relieved Freyja did not catch it from Bryan.

Got The Cutting Edge, a cheesy ice skating flick from the early 1990s, on. I always enjoyed this. But it's so dated. It wanted to be Top Gun on ice, so there are sappy rock ballads all over the place. Formula. Tired formula.

I too am appalled that folks no longer have CD players or BluRay/DVD players. I KNOW it's a hassle to have the physical disks.....but you can lose everything online in a moment.....it's gone..... Then what do you do?

The vast majority of movies I want to watch are not on Netflix or Amazon Prime.
