This has been a weird morning so far. The cats, who usually cannot wait to be fed, were more concerned playing in the too many Amazon cartons littering my floor at the moment. Stella ate most of the food, Thatch may have had a few crumbs, and I don't think Annabelle had any breakfast at all.

A couple of years ago I struck up an acquaintance with a young college student from Minnesota in a FB group and we’ve become quite good friends

He stayed in a AirBNB while searching for a more permanent residence and found a room to rent in a 4 bedroom apartment in July

He’s just had a bed so far so on Thursday he took the train out to LI and I met him and we went desk shopping at a local IKEA

We took the stuff he bought back to his place and then we headed into Manhattan to pick up tickets to see the Merry Wives of Windsor at Central Park

As we were stuck in a bridge on the way in we suddenly realized that in the flurry of getting stuff up to his apartment and getting back out he had left his vaccination card behind

So I ended up dropping him at a subway stop so he could run back and get his card

Then I headed over to the prepaid parking garage and to pick up the tickets

Ticket pickup went well and then I hung out on a rock outside the theatre people watching until my friend arrived

When you reserved your seats you had a choice if choosing the unvaccinated section which required you to sit in a “pod” of 2 with empty seats around you and to wear your mask for the entire time you were in the theatre

There was very limited seating available in that section as so many seats were roped off, even so there were many pods that were vacant, so I guess theatre goers are opting for the shot
