I do disagree with them on one point this evening.

They spoke about the very few Black, Asian, and Indigenous playwrights working in theater, especially Broadway.  They said they have a lot of stories to tell.

I would tell them then, that they should write them and if you have written them, then submit them.

Producers are always looking for quality plays.  Submit these great stories and I will wager they will get produced.  IF they are good.

That's wonderful for Danny Burstein!  Finally!  And did Aaron Tveit actually win?? 

He was the only nominee.

Actually, his winning wasn't a lock.  Even if one person is nominated, that person has to get at least 60% of the voters to vote for them.  Theoretically, one person could be nominated, but the voters don't like that person, so they don't vote for them, and that person doesn't win.  It would really suck, but the rules allow it.
