Well, you've read the notes, the notes were so lazy that I forgot to change the topic, and now it is time for you to post until the lazy cows come home.

BK, that little pizza did look good. ;D I actually like extra sauce, so that wouldn't have bothered me at all.

And now, I'm off to bed.  Today, Tom and John and I will be meeting in person, and photographic proof will be provided!

Have a good day, all!

This morning I must step out for my flu shot. I will then head to my barber and take care of my unruly hair.

I did not watch the Tonys. The fact that a loud, poorly written piece of crap like Moulin Rouge won so many awards makes me feel the theater I came to New York to work in is pretty much over. I am very happy for Danny Burstein.

Last night I watched a movie I wanted to like very much, and I hated it, Royal Wedding from 1951, with Fred Astaire, Jane Powell, Keenan Wynn, and Albert Sharpe, the original Finian of Finian's Rainbow and Darby O'Gill and the Little People. I liked half the score by Alan Jay Lerner and Burton Lane and detested Lerner's screenplay, which makes one think he'd never worked in a theater in his life: Jane Powell's character is completely non-professional for a lady who's supposedly a huge star, the auditions for dancers was ridiculous, and nothing was remotely real. I did like the cast, although O thought the Churchill lady playing Astaire's romantic interest was a dog.

Astaire danced wonderfully, although I hated much of the musical staging. Also, the DVD color was horrible, dark, dull, and everything was submerged in dark brown.

The mind is certainly a strange thing.

I had a lot of very odd dreams last night. In one, I was assembling a jigsaw puzzle of a map of the U.S. Only the pieces were three-dimensional, and seemed to be made of meat.

And then I found myself having to unwillingly administer an enema to a cute baby goat.

Please don't run that one through the DREAM-O-MATIC.

I agree with JRand on the TOD. But I did like Bombshell and The Prom, though not for Kidman.

On my outing this morning, I met a sweet little dog named Lucas, told a nice lady I loved her French bulldog (❤️❤️❤️!!!), and talked to another walking two large dogs, one like a Dalmatian and the other like a setter.

From DR George:

Quote
Jane, have you seen The Shawshank Redemption?  That's also based on a Stephen King novella called Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption

I did, and didn't realize it was a King film.  Another excellent movie.
