Thank you all for the condolences.

I was trying to think of a good way to remember Anna, then recalled that her favorite word was sh*t. It used to bug my dad, who wouldn't hesitate to say hell or damn, but sh*t was considered vulgar. Maybe I'll just say sh*t a lot. To remember her, you understand.

Yes, I haven't scratched it off the list. I called the local Target several days ago and spoke to someone in that department, but there was a LOT of background noise and it was difficult to have a good conversation, which is why I opted to call CC directly. I was glad to read that your brother-in-law has been happy with his CC service. I've never had any feedback from anyone I know. First I need to buy a new phone. (Target does sell the model I want.)

Speaking as a former computer programmer I feel that computers have gotten waaayyyy too complicated. Apple's customer service and concern for the user is superior to others, but I feel even it doesn't go quite far enough. There is information is we users need and is not necessarily easy to obtain. Some information is available on the Apple site, but it's not enough. The salespeople at Best Buy and other stores aren't able to answer these questions and don't usually have the time to do so, even if they did. An information gap. One Mac repair store I know offers one-on-one consulting--the right idea!--but at over $100/hour. When I inquired about it a few years ago the woman I spoke to said, "I don't know why you'd want to pay for that!"

Funny as sh*t is the word I use the most. I rarely use other swear words.

Seidle was a leading designer at the time and the Metropolitan Opera used her quite a lot. Her husband was the Met's prop master.
