DR ChasSmith, I have both Clean My Mac and Malwarebytes. Since I was hacked several years ago, I'm a bit paranoid.

I have no plans for New Year’s Eve, but I may be told differently tonight.

The dancing classes usually get together that evening but there is no place for it this year.

One of the books I got for Christmas was a collection of four Mary Poppins books. I started reading the first. I don’t know why I never read them before, but the first is a delight.

It's 363 days until Christmas, and some people already have their lights up. Unbelievable!

DR John G. - are one of those 4 books the one where the kids learn to cook, with recipes included?

Sadly, no, Singdaw. Her cookery book is not included. Maybe Santa will bring it if I read all 1,000 pages in this volume.

We'll have a li'l Zoom partay going on with our usual New Years Eve suspects, like we did last year, and I'll be popping in here from time to time.

Those are just the people who would normally come to the house. It's a group that's been consistent for over a decade.

(I was very careful not to type "pooping" above.)
(Seriously. I've found that my fingers want to mess up words with a double-o and double-consonants.)

TOD - we’ll be home for New Year’s Eve, watching the college football playoff semifinals.

Go, Bearcats!

Go, Blue!

I will also pop in here from time to time.  As for eating, I’m planning to make spaghetti sauce from scratch using a recipe I got from Mrs. H about 50 years ago.

I suspect that on New Year's Eve, I will be in bed by 9:30, snuggled up with three cats.

Brilliant!

It's nice to know who wrote "It was a dark and stormy night" first, but Snoopy made it famous. I've always liked "I'm too young to die," which I think first made its appearance in Dumas' Les Trois Mousquetaires.

My sister's glasses were in the PT Cruiser.  After I had looked every where else, I thought that she rode with me in it on Thursday....and there they were.

We were most happy.  We had already looked in the Smart Car.....

Yay!

But if you had suggested looking there first, DR JRand71, you would have been WRONG.

I have submitted many entries over many years to the Bulwer-Lytton contest, but have never gotten even so much as a dishonorable mention.    :)

Long day at work. And I even took an hour to go buy some discounted Christmas stuff.

I swapped sides of the bed, so I wouldn’t have to get up on the side that has vertigo. But it felt like sleeping in a new bed.

We often switch sides when we travel.  In Palm Springs I reached over to get something from my end table and hit Keith instead ;D

Tomorrow is a banking day.....my sister has lost her glasses.  We have been looking everywhere for them....

I hope they turn up.

Oh no.   How does one wonder far from their glasses if they are needed to see?  Is she ok without them?

After an hour and a half of scrubbing oven racks and the window my arms are still a bit shaking.  At least I can type again though it is still bothering my right shoulder a bit.

Keith gave the window a good start before leaving for an appointment, however, I still had to scrub it for more than twice the time he spent on it.

I scrubbed the racks after starting the self cleaning oven.  It really didn't smell bad at all.
